Public Architecture

Franklin Blvd in Sacramento, CA lies in the heart of the City’s Southwest quadrant. This project aims to create an open air community space in which it can serve the neighborhood. By recognizing the various issues, we further understand opportunities the neighborhood has that can restore the communities identity. The organization of the site addresses three key programmatic solutions to begin restoring the community: Green spaces, Nutrition, and Alternative transportation methods (Bike and Public Transit). A nature walk encourages the connection to plants and animals while the open green space supports community involvement. The services created will harness transportation needs, nutritional benefits, and employ a safe haven for the community to interact with one another and the ecosystem within Franklin Blvd.
